Rail Profile and Wear
Both regular rail and grooved rail can be profiled and wear calculated automatically. Measurement can also be performed at the same time as track geometry measurements or as a separate inspection task.
Vertical and lateral wear as well as gauge face wear angle can be reported and rail sections flagged using custom wear limits. Rail profiles can also be exported in DXF format.
Rail Corrugation
Corrugation can affect the wheel-rail interface, vehicle-track interaction, and cause noise and vibration in both straight and curved tracks (especially in LRTs).
Rail corrugation/roughness can be measured simultaneous to geometry or as a separate inspection.
Reporting is according to a number of industry standards including Peak-to-Peak moving average (EN 13231-3:2006), Peak-to-Peak isolated points (EN 13231-3:2012), Percentage of D signals (EN 13231-2:2020) and one-third octave.
