Gekon Modular: Corrugation Measurement Trolley
Looking for a fast, accurate and highly portable way to measure rail corrugation? If the answer is yes, then the KZV Gekon Modular Trolley is the perfect solution for you.
The Gekon is a Corrugation Analysis Trolley (CAT) that uses high accuracy lasers aligned with the longitudinal axis of each rail head in order to measure the micro geometry of the rail surface and report rail corrugation according to the EN 13231-3 standard. Reporting includes peak-to-peak, RMS and 1/3rd octave analysis.
The base model can also be upgraded to capture a cross-sectional profile of each rail (vignol, embedded and grooved) and to report rail wear.
The Gekon Modular is light enough for a single person to set it on the track as well as to remove it, and it can be disassembled for easy transport and storage.

The Support that You Need
If you’re considering purchasing a geometry trolley from a generalist railway supplier with tens, hundreds, or thousands of unrelated SKUs you might want to think twice.
A track geometry trolley is a specialized piece of equipment that requires configuration of the appropriate signal filters for your network, implementation of your geometry limits, configuration of geometry graphs for reporting, and training of your staff in both field acquisiton and office data processing.
Make sure that your supplier takes the time to show you that they have the necessary expertise to configure and use the included software and that they include a full training program that covers both field acquisition and detailed analysis of geometry data in the office.
As actual users of KZV equipment, PrecisionTrack staff are well familiar with both field operation and office data processing and have the first-hand experience and expertise required to properly configure KZV trolley field software (KrabDroid, KrabOnBoard, KrabCamera) and KZV office software applications (Krab 11).
