Rail Profile and Wear

High-speed lasers are used to capture a 1/2 rail profile of vignola, embedded, and grooved rails which are automatically aligned with rail templates for wear calculations. Measurement can be performed at the same time as track geometry measurements or as a separate inspection task.

Measurements are reported in a spreadsheet as well as in a graph with custom wear limits. Measurements provided include:
